Wild Mustang Anthology Update - Aug. 8, 2010

The Workshop has ended, and our book will soon be published. We're putting the finishing touches on it. Over time, check this space to learn more - possibly from the writers, as well as from other staffers!

Our Workshop participants have been quite busy, and we think you will find the results of our work interesting. In a rare opportunity for graduate students in an online program, we came together with a service project and together shared not only creative work so very much at the core of our passion but also editorial and marketing work. For some, this was a new experience. For others, it was a way to revisit, refine, and overall flex muscles at tasks which allow them to shine. It is because of these tasks - divided and conquered in fewer than six weeks! - that we will have products which both represent us and our intention to help others in the world and allow us to practice new venues for giving.

With that in mind, I'll share with you three special thanks which I think most our staffers would like to share: (1) thank you, Professor Sharman Russell, for advising the workshop and for giving us a tremendous opportunity to create a product from our work that allows us to contribute to the world and to engage in the newest methods writers have for sharing material - self-publishing and marketing; (2) thank you, Belinda Meigs, for doing editorial construction, oversight, management, and more - we've been with you through the highs and lows of a student project's learning curve, and you should pat yourself on the back!; and, (3) thank YOU - you as a reader are what we-the-writers LOVE: a market of individuals who may appreciate creative ideas and glimpses into writing in development. YOU can give us feedback ... YOU can help us achieve our goals of maximizing contributions to Haiti and simultaneously creating literature worthy of discussion in the open market.

Thanks, again, for stopping by, and DO come again, for soon we'll have links for you to purchase this anthology. YOU can become an active participant in the success of our project!
